Introduction:  
  The use of steroids is a common problem in the sporting world and can be found among athletes of all levels. While there are many short term benefits to the use of these substances, there are also long term side effects that can be dangerous. The purpose of this web quest is to learn about the use and abuse of steroids and become aware of the effects and dangers of these substances.
Task:  
  1. Students must research the effects of steroids and gather information about their history, uses (both positive and negative) and side effects.

2. Students will then create a power point presentation educating others about steroids.
Process:  
  While conducting your research, here are some questions you may want to consider answering:

1. What are steroids and how do they work?
2. How long have people been using steroids?
3. What are some important current events regarding steroids?
4. Why do people use steroids? Remember, there are other reasons, aside from performance enhancement, to use steroids.
5. What are the side effects of steroids?
6. Why should we or shouldn't we use steroids? What are the benefits and consequences?
