On Writing

Introduction:
Today you are going to do a little bit of reading. The purpose is to explore the thoughts of writers on the subject of writing.
Task:
Why is writing of significance on both a personal and global scale?
Process:
  The steps are as follows:
1. List your thoughts on the necessity of writing. If you feel writing is a negligible art form state your justification for such a claim.
2. Read the assigned document with pen and paper in hand. List every possible answer (may be a direct/obvious statement or an indirect statement that requires a bit of analysis to understand) to the focus question.
3. Join a pre-selected group and compile your findings. Given the information found in each of your readings, develop a power point presenting a thesis with support from your reading.

Evaluation:
Each group, after compiling research findings, must develop a power point presentation with a minimum of 10 slides. Included must be the following:
1. A title page with a creative and logical title for the presentation, your names, and the date of completion.
2. A minimum of six (6) direct quotations from the documents explored (proper citation required). Be sure to discuss the relevance of the quotes to your thesis in your presentation.
3. Ample images to contribute to the value of your presentation.
4. A slide that concisely reasserts the value of the argument (thesis) that drives your presentation.
5. A Works Cited page.
Each source must be utilized in your presentation.

Conclusion:
