A couple was relating their vacation experiences to a friend.
"It sounds as if you had a great time in Texas," the friend
observed. "But didn't you tell me you were planning to visit
Colorado?"
"Well," the man said, "we changed our plans because, uh..."
"Oh, tell the truth, Fred!" his wife cut in, "You know, it's
just ridiculous. Fred simply will not ask for directions."

9. Ask Our Experts-
*************************************************************
A question from Anonymous:
"1.What is Web Demographics?
2.What is the limitation using Web Demographics?"
*************************************************************
TeAch-nology.com's Staff Response:
Web user demographics pertain to capturing information about
the people behind the computers that are accessing a
particular web site. The importance of the information is get
to know who is using your web site and based on that
information you can formulate a plan to better server this
population.
Web demographic information is only limited by the amount of
information a person will supply you with. Demographics such
as the location of a computer and specifications of that
computer can be captured without a users permission. Data
such as gender, age, and profession are usually obtained
through the use of surveys.
*************************************************************
A question from Anonymous:
"I am a 6th grade math and language arts teacher. I have a
lot of books that I would like students to sign out. However,
I can't seem to figure out a good system. Does anyone have
any good ideas for a class "library?""
*************************************************************
TeAch-nology.com's Staff Response:
Keeping tracks of books is not an easy task. However, if you
have a sign in and sign out page pasted inside the book, it
helps to hold students accountable. Another idea that helps
to keep books from getting lost is to use a marker to write
your name on various places on the book including opposite
the spine on the pages. And finally, you can have a large
poster board with each book listed in columns and the
students can sign under each title. Good luck!
*************************************************************
A question from Anonymous:
I need a simple way to write lesson plans. I need to refer
back to the IEP and the curriculum. I teach k-4 SLD,DH,MH and
one gifted SLD.
*************************************************************
TeAch-nology.com's Staff Response:
You can use our lesson plan generator to create lesson plans
that accommodate students with special needs. This can be
found at:
http://www.teach-nology.com/web_tools/materials/
There are also generators for to help develop plans for
special education students.

10. "Our Latest Idea That Worked!"
"Bone Activity"
By: Katie, 6,7,8th Grade Teacher-Math/Science/Health
"Have you ever had trouble in Health or Science class with
students trying to memorize the different names of bones? To
make it a bit easier and fun, give each student or each group
of 2 a long piece of masking tape. Have them rip them into 8
pieces (or as many bones as your working with to memorize)
and then right the 8 bone structures like hip bone, femur and
so on. Then, they place the tape on their body where the bone
is at. For example, I would place the hip bone label on my
hip. If they are working in groups of 2, they can label 4 on
their partner and the other partner could label 4 on them.
Students really love this activity. You can also use this
activity for other body systems. Have fun!!! "
