5. Jokes You Can Tell In Class-
"The Purse"
A lady lost her handbag in the bustle of Christmas shopping.
It was found by an honest little boy and returned to her.
Looking in her purse, she commented, "Hmmm.... That's funny.
When I lost my bag there was a $20 bill in it. Now there are
twenty $1 bills."
The boy quickly replied, "That's right, lady. The last time
I found a lady's purse, she didn't have any change for a
reward."

TeAch-nology.com's Staff Response:
All states have departments of education that describe
requirements for schools to meet. To find out what your state
has as requirements to operate a school, go to
http://www.teach-nology.com/teachers/certification/
and click on "Florida." Once you get to the home page for
Florida's Office of Education, click on "Education Directories."
Next, click on "DOE Organizational Directory." Then click
on "Division of Public Schools" which will take you to a
page that supplies information about curriculum and
instruction and things you need to know about state education
requirements. For your needs, you may explore the links that
have to do with early childhood. You can also email state
officials with specific questions. Good Luck!

A question from Anonymous:

Teaching has many tools. Some include the methoods of
teaching and others include the standard templates that can
be used to teach effectively. Various methods of teaching
and instructional models can be found at:
http://www.teach-nology.com/teachers/methods/
and also at:
http://www.teach-nology.com/teachers/methods/models/
Standard templates like lesson plans, behavioral plans,
graphic organizers, and rubrics can be found at:
http://www.teach-nology.com/web_tools/
These represent some of the "tools of the trade" that manage
the teaching and learning process effectively. Tutorials on
some of the best practices in teaching can be found at:

Good luck!

10. "Our Latest Idea That Worked!"
"What Am I?"
By: Jessie, Staff Coordinator: Temple, OR
"Years ago before I got into administration, I would start
every year off with this game. I would take out about 100
post-it notes and then give one to each student. Students
would get in circle. Each student writes a noun (person,
place, or thing) on the card. Then they stick the post-it
on the forehead of the person to their right, noun showing.
Each person then gets a turn to ask the group a "yes/no" that
will help them guess what it is. If they don't get it right,
we move on to the next person in the circle clockwise. I
usually give some sort of prize to the three people that took
the least number of guesses to get it right."
