3. Quote of the week-
It is because the body is a machine that education is
possible. Education is the formation of habits, a
superinducing of an artificial organization upon the natural
organization of the body.

5. Jokes you can tell in your class-
For thirty years, Johnson had arrived at work at 9 A.M. on
the dot. He had never missed a day and was never late.
Consequently, when on one particular day 9 A.M. passed
without Johnson's arrival, it caused a sensation. All work
ceased and the boss himself, looking at his watch and
muttering, came out into the corridor.
Finally, precisely at ten, Johnson showed up, clothes dusty
and torn, his face scratched and bruised, his glasses bent.
He limped painfully to the time clock, punched in, and said,
aware that all eyes were upon him, "I tripped and rolled
down two flights of stairs in the subway. Nearly killed
myself."
And the boss said, "And to roll down two flights of stairs
took you a whole hour?"

7. Ask The Experts-
Ask The Educational Expert:
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
A question from anonymous:
"What if your having problems about being in a high school
that you really didn't plan on going to? The school I was
accepted into was Arch Bishop Carroll and it is a catholic
school, I figured that if I go there, I would get a better
education. Not to disreguard this school, I just think that
maybe I made the wrong choice. What do you think?"
TeAch-nology.com's Response:
"It is hard to say if you made the wrong choice without knowing
some more details about your current status at the high school
you are presently attending.
Our recommendation is that you meet with a school guidance
counselor and discuss your issues and/or concerns with that
person. You should also include your parents in this process.
Mean time, make sure you keep up with your school work. You
don't want to fall behind academically.
Good luck!"

Ask The Technology Expert:
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
A question from anonymous:
"How does intranet works?"
TeAch-nology.com's Response:
"Intranets are internally focused Internets. An Intranet is
different from an Internet in the following ways:
--Intranet is a network within the organization, whereas
Internet is a world wide network.
--Intranet has access to Internet, but not vice- versa.
Generally speaking, Intranets are constructed by implementing
a common language (the Internet's TCP/IP protocol) across
an organization's network to enable the exchange of information
between all existing networks and network devices.
The basic network infrastructure needed to support an Intranet
consists of typical networking devices --hubs, switches, and
routers-- all of which understand the TCP/IP protocol that is
being used to transmit data across the network. Hubs provide
connectivity for desktops, printers, and servers, and are used
to build LANs (Local Area Networks) . While LANs are connected
via switches and/or routers.
The desktop computers must have some form of Network
Interface Card (NICs) added to each PC to enable it to talk
to other equipment on the network. All of these devices work
in tandem to move data throughout the network as well as to
the Internet or other private networks."
