Quote of the week- People are always shouting they want to create a better future. It's not true. The future is an apathetic void of no interest to anyone. The past is full of life, eager to irritate us, provoke and insult us, tempt us to destroy or repaint it. The only reason people want to be masters of the future is to change the past. ~ Milan Kundera ~ ============================================================= Sponsor: ============================================================= 3. Jokes you can tell it class- "The Professor Makes Change" A professor was giving a big test one day to his students. He handed out all of the tests and went back to his desk to wait. Once the test was over the students all handed the tests back in. The professor noticed that one of the students had attached a $100 bill to his test with a note saying "A dollar per point." The next class period, the professor handed the tests back out. This student got back his test and $64 change. ============================================================= Sponsor: ============================================================= 4. Technology Tidbit- A question from Nancy of Monroe, New York: "I noticed you have a tutorial up on how to create a District Web Site, but I was wondering about my class. Is there any easy, free way to do so. I'm not very good with computers." TeAch-nology.com Responds: "We are currently developing a tutorial to help you through the process of building your own web page with full creative control, but in the meantime try these sites they offer free software and most people find their free services easy to use. In all cases your webpages will contain ads that you can not control." 1. Homestead- http://www.homestead.com This very easy to use they even load the software on to your computer. Just read all of the directions. 2. High Wired- http://www.highwired.com They offer teachers and school districts free web space. A very easy service, but you don't get that much creative control. ************************************************************* To ask the TeAch-nology.com staff a question go to: http://www.teach-nology.com/help/ask_a_tech_expert/ ************************************************************* ============================================================= Sponsor: ============================================================= 5.
