Content:

Goals:
 Students will be able to read all CVC words in the "______" word family. Students will follow directions to assemble their own book to practice read.
Objectives:
  Students will follow the 4 step directions to assemble book. They will use previous knowledge of word families, letter recognition and letter / sound connection.
Materials:
 All students will have their "school boxes" for needed items at their table or center. Book pages for the " ____" word family book.
Introduction:
 Students will develop a list of "_____" word family words and help to create that family member list.
Development:
 review vowel sounds and previously learned word family words
Practice:
 Assemble their own book to read using the word family words as practice.
Accommodations:
 Yellow group will use model to assemble their book. This group will work with their peer tutor and parrot read their book. ***Green group may use blend VC words in their books.
Checking For Understanding:
 Students will use a cut & paste worksheet with the same words to check for understanding.
Closure:
 This word family "character" will be added to the family of other word family characters already learned. The word family will be added to the circle activity chant.
Evaluation:
 Students should be able to match 3 of the 5 words to pictures of the "_____" word family.
