Introduction: | THE teacher will ask the students the difference between NOUNS, ADVERBS, and ADJECTIVES. Students will give the teacher samples of each language type. |
Development: | The teacher will explain and demonstrate the activity to students using one of the many stories from this website (http://www.funbrain.com/cgi-bin/shtml.cgi?A1=../wacky/index.html). After the activity the teacher will assist in printing/or saving their stories. |
Practice: | Students will work in groups and assist each other in creating a story using their own key words. |
Accommodations: | One student needs to translate for one of the students. The teacher will assign a pair-buddy to assist this student. |
Checking For Understanding: | The teacher will monitor developments during the course of the activity and passively assist students when needed. |
Closure: | Teacher will have students to return to the carpet after the activity for a feedback/discussion session. |
Evaluation: | Teacher will record progress in the 'running record' sheets per student file. |
