Goals:
 Children will have reviewed the spelling words. Children will be able to jump-rope from start to finish.
Objectives:
 Children will have a better comprehension of the spelling words. Are able to cooperate with the people in their row to finish the game.
Materials:
 cards with spelling words written on them, jumprope, playground, tape to mark start and finish lines
Introduction:
 Students told how to play the game
Development:
 Teacher will demonstrate how to play the game
Practice:
 Select a starting point and an end point on the play ground (about 20-30 yards apart). At the start point there will be four or five rows of students in lines of 3 or 4. At the end point there will be a stack of spelling words. Students will jump-rope to get to the spelling words, when they get to the stack they will pick one up, jump-rope back to their line and say the word to the next person in line, that person will have to spell the word. If they get the word correct they will repeat the steps the person in front of them did to get the second word in the stack, if they get the word wrong they will have to jump-rope to the pile put it on top and jump-rope back to the start point and go to the end of the line, the next person will repeat the steps of the first student until the word is spelled correctly.
Accommodations:
 For students who cannot do this activity they will have a partner and play a cards type of game with the spelling words.
Checking For Understanding:
 Teacher will know how much the students know by how far in the stack they get.
Closure:
 Children will help put game equipment away.
Evaluation:
 At the end of the week students will be tested on the spelling words.
