Materials: | SmartBoard, PowerPoint, paper and pencil, textbook. |
Introduction: | Why is the study of Biology important? |
Development: | Fields of Biology and examples. Steps of the Scientific Method and sample experiments. |
Practice: | Think/Pair/Share with scientific method. |
Accommodations: | Monitor EC students and help with difficulties. |
Checking For Understanding: | Check experiments that are written. Check vocabulary worksheets. |
Closure: | Review steps of the scientific method. Vocabulary ticket out the door. |
Evaluation: | Give a hypothetical experiment and have students indicate the steps of the scientific method and judge if this is a good experiment. |
