I have just recently had a terrible high school teaching experience in
Conn. I have a cert.'s in Earth science and Bio, and soon in phyisics. I am looking to relocate to almost any where in the U.S. I am looking for any pointers on locations, good schools, positive employers, or even feedback on good or bad relocation stories.......... please e-mail me at gmerowsky@inorbit.com |

Im not sure what you have gone through in Conn. but I can say that Calif. and Conn. are the 2 highest paying states in the country for teachers.
Calif. is CRYING for science, math and special ed. teachers. Hope it helps. |

North Carolina is not the best paid state, however because of the population increase and development, they are hiring people without teaching degrees just to fill the need for teachers. Some counties in NC have trailers in the back of the school for classrooms because there is not enough room IN the school for all the students. Might look to the south if you are in need of a job.

Quote:
Supervisor was an ****************************. My mistake for telling him so to his face (he didn't show up in my class to observe for first 3 months... he put me in with a mentor teacher who hadn't taught in 15 years and slept through my classes... can't blame the guy as he was dying of cancer and was hired as a favor by my supervisor as he probably needed the money, but I was paying for this excuse of an education). No, if California wanted math/sci teachers, my hard work would have earned me a credential... I didn't subsequently graduate TOP of my college with a masters in Ed Tech because I'm an unmotivated idiot. Steer clear of this state. |
