Talking Qwizdom Anyone

Has anyone else tried the Qwizdom Learning System?
I have used it for 3 years now and would like to share info with others.
My school has bought 3 more which will be put into use this year.
I use it to teach physical science but there is content in almost all other areas.
My web page is jfurr.com or jfurr@sc.rr.com if you want to exchange ideas. I would like to get them to sponsor a website where we can share our teacher made content. But maybe we will just have to start our own.

Smile Qwizdom.com

Qwizdom.com is their web site. A google search will turn up other resources and even demo videos.

Default Yes, I use Qwizdom

Hi - I am a high school Technology teacher and strongly promote the use of the Qwizdom system in the classroom. I train teachers on how to use the system and would really like to work to get a "super users" group started to share classroom experiences and content slides.

I'll email you, Jack to see if we can collaborate.

Talking Qwizdom is amazing

I have used Qwizdom response systems in my classroom and they are really extraordinary. My students love the days i use the remotes, which is almost every day
I am fortunate to have the new radio frequency Q4 remotes. These have LCD screens for the students to see the answer choices and right/wrong feedback. The advantage is for each kid to take paper tests, but input on Quizdom; this way i do not have to grade a single paper. I have all the results scored, graphed, and in my grade program. There is capability to have each student take different tests by entering a number, but i have not tried that yet.
Of course, the kids love the games most of all. They get extremely competitive and motivated. It is the easiest way to get them to study and work in teams.
I highly recommend it. Their site is www.qwizdom.com.

Thumbs up teacher

I am a teacher at a low income middle school. Ever since I started using Qwizdom clickers my students' grades improved and participation doubled!! The real indicator that these clickers were working was that my MIA students started showing up!! Everyone was more prepared for review days when I promised them that we would play one of the Qwizdom games, the car racing game is their favorite. When I noticed that the Qwizdom clickers also have complete numeric function on them, I thought that it would be great for me to share the system with our Math teachers. After seeing improvements in all the math classes our school decided to spring for more Qwizdom systems. Now all the math teachers have their own clickers!!! If anyone has any questions about the Qwizdom clickers I would be happy to help!

Wink Qwizdom Still

Since my original post I have started using the Interact software. It is as good, perhaps better than the original TA that came with my old set of clickers. I have also sprung for a set of the new(er) RF "clickers" (thanks to uncle sam for the "loan", I am sure we will repay next tax year.)
I am truly looking forward to the new software and web site promised by Qwizdom soon (see their web site for details). If you log onto the UK qwizdom site (qwizdom.co.uk), you can get access to a download/share site. You can also get a free copy of Action Point II software, at least I did. Perhaps when the new Qwizdom site is officially up and running, I will see some of you sharing resources.

Default qwizdom

I have been using qwizdom now for a couple of years. i mainly use it for reading vocabulary. this works great for my low readers and it holds their attention alot better. they aren't frustrated trying to read the test by themselves and don't have to worry about who finishes first.

Default Qwizdom Remotes

Hi,

I saw your postings about the Qwizdom remotes you enjoy so much. I am writing to advertise that I have a complete classs set of 24 remotes, teacher's remote, the protective carrying bag - a whole set I don't need anymore.

I had bought them myself to use at my former school. I changed schools (NJ) and can't use them anymore.

I am interested in selling them to a school district for a reduced price. They all work.

The new price from Quizdom is something like $1900 ..... I am willing to sell them for $1500 or best offer.

WOuld you be willing to keeo this is mind in the event you get a contact from someone who needs a set?

Thank you.
I can be emailed at dbakertaxpro@aol.com

Sincerely,

Dan Baker
