Red face High School Math Teachers Please Help

I am an editor with the online math magazine MathBlues.com, and we are looking for high school math teachers who would be willing to participate in a study involving our site in exchange for a free one-year subscription. MathBlues aims to show high school students the creative, playful side of math and help them overcome their frustrations with and aversion to the subject.

We are asking teachers to try to incorporate the site into their classrooms and assignments for a three-month period. We would like to know what they think of the site and how they feel it can be useful to them and to their students. At the end of the three months, the teachers will be asked to complete a brief questionnaire that evaluates the usefulness, appearance, ease of navigation, and overall success of the website. In appreciation for the time and effort spent while participating, we are offering a free one-year subscription.

If you are interested in participating, you can take a look at our site by visiting us at www.mathblues.com. Feel free to peruse our sample issue, or to sign up for our one-week trial offer. To sign up for the study, you can contact me at hartmann@mathblues.com. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions. If you would not be able to participate, but know a colleague who would, please forward this posting on to them. We are looking for ten math teachers total, with no more than two teachers from any one school.

I hope to hear from you soon!
