Default Beta Testers needed for new educational website

Hi everyone. I am a technology education teacher from New Jersey, and I have developed a new website, and I am seeking beta testers. First let me give you a little background about my site. One day I was browsing through the Classroom Connect newsletter that comes to my school. I saw an article on using Web Logs in schools. This allows students to keep a running online journal. The article convinced me that this could be a useful addition to my classes. However, I was less then pleased the free blogging options available. First off in order to register each one of my students would need to provide an email address. There was no way I was having my students enter those. Even if I used fake email addresses to register, there where other problems. There are generally two types of blogs or web logs. One type is public everyone on the web can see them. The other is private only owner can view. I did not want strangers on the web reading my students post, however what was the point of the web log if students could not see each other’s post. The final straw was the advertisements that where used to support the site. I teach middle school aged students, and popups for an Internet dating site was not a distraction I needed. Seeing what was available I decided to make my own website to address these issues. My website has been designed for educators from the ground up. Teachers are provided with powerful administrative tools. Students can view and comment on their classmate’s logs but outside eyes cannot view the logs. Finally I have provided teachers with a customizable homepage for each class, so students can check homework assignments, discussion topics and important links from anywhere in the world. Parents can also view the homepage to keep up with their children’s progress in schools. I have been programming the site for a few months, and have reached the point where it is functional. However, testing is still needed before the site can go public. I am looking for teachers who are willing to be beta testers. This means just using the site with your classes and reporting any issues and making suggestions back to me. I will offer anyone who is willing to be a tester free access to the site for life, for all your classes. If you at all interested please email me at dandeluca@mac.com

Thank you in advance!!
Dan

That sounds like a really cool idea!
I saw another site that allows you to do a similiar sort of thing, which might be of interest to other teachers in your position who want to run websites for their class, its 2clicks.com www.2clicks.com

might be helpful!
