I'm studying to be a drama and english teacher and will be going on my first prac period soon. What things should I look out for in the classroom? Any hints and tips would be greatly appreciated.

Thumbs up tried and try tips

Look for a behavior system the teacher has in place. How do they deal with things that are out of the ordinary? Also look for an organizational system and how the teacher plans.

Cool I'm a drama teacher, here are some tips

Look at the relationship of the teacher to their students. In drama it is very easy to become attached to the students since you have them for years in a row and spend many after school hours with them. Watch and see if the teacher is too close or chummy during class hours, and the level of proffesionalism with the advanced classes.

Also look at the level of respect the students have for that teacher, what has the teacher done to earn their respect?

How does the teacher keep thier students engaged and working during rehearsal times.

Is their a participation grade in place and how does the teacher assess that.

I could go on, but these are a few things I have found key in my carrer, and good luck.
