I don't know about anyone else, but I have been trained in college as part of my education degree to implement as much technology in the classroom as possible. In HS, you can do a variety of technology activities to practice higher learning. For example, you can do portfolios, type papers, some schools have programs to do flow charts, webs, and reading maps. These are a great way to reach all the different learning styles in your class, while at the same time, change the pace for all your students. Just my 2 cents

Default hehehe

you'll find out soon enough!

P.S.
it really depends on what district you're in or what country you're in. are you in a rich/poor public school or private school? if you are not a proficient computer user, it's ok. you don't need to feel threatened if there's a computer in your room. i grew up without computers. i turned out fine, as a student. i learned the "old-fashioned" way. if you are not a proficient computer user, it's not too late to learn. look in your local newspaper to see ads to learn how to use a computer. if you are a proficient computer user than WOW! your students will have fun with your skill and knowledge!

Arrow Love it!

I have taught at all levels. I find grades 9-12 the most exciting because you really start to see the kids start their real world lives and move on to college or a job.

working with people that want to be adults, they just have a few bad habits you need to help them with. High school is the most fun age for me.

Post Subbing helps a lot

I have been subbing a lot in the High Schools and I think it has given me a good idea of what it will be like when I am a teacher. At first I was in shock how much things have changed since I was in High School, but now I am getting used to it and enjoying it.
