Default just when I thought SPED in mainstream couldn't be any worse than ADHD...

I find it.

ADHD AND childhood schizophrenic.

Holy crap . TAKE THIS KID OUT OF MAINSTREAM IF HE CAN'T STOP TALKING TO HIS MULTIPLE PERSONALITIES!!!!11

He makes noises, talks to himself, cries, gets fustrated when I tell the class to number their paper from 1-10. He can't manage the simplest of instructions, yet for some reason, he is expected to handle a mainstream geography class with tracking hurricanes, aloud reading, etc. no, I take that back, I'm expected to accomodate for him.

So, in essence, I have to hold the other 26 students up in class while I explain how to number his paper and if I don't, I am the one failing him.

He needs 1 on 1 education, and he does not need to be in my class.

On a side note, when I called his caseload manager today during 1st period, I found out that the ESE teacher has 8 kids in 1st period, I have 12 . How does that work? I'm not even the ESE teacher yet I have to teach almost double the amount of SPED kids AND the other 15 or so regular ed kids, too.

I love pointing out to SPED teachers why I don't individually accomodate like they do in their classes when they ask why I don't.

I nominate Chocolate_New_Orleans. By far the wisest teacher I have come across on this website. Why?

1. He's old school
2. No happy go lucky BS theories
3. Doesnt pretend children are innocent angels that need 24/7 catering
4. Crushes newer teachers hopes and fantasies or recreating 'Dangerous Minds'
5. Will most likely be a 35 year veteran, outlasting 90% of the hippie teachers on this site.

Screw it, I'd nominate him Time's Man of the Year.

1 SPED kid can destroy a class of 30.

Why do people insist that the 1 should be saved at the expense of the other 29? I say, let the 1 fail and focus on the other 29

Default Congrats C.N.O.!

It's interesting that you've been registered for only a year and yet have over 850 posts. I also find it interesting that you use a forum that is supposed to be for teachers/educators to enhance their skills as a soap box from which to spill your inflammatory self-righteous bile. Congratulations, you are the self-annointed king of the Teachnology Special Education Forum. What an accomplishment.

Yes, I'm unregistered - why would I want to register for a forum that is dominated by a some delusional clown with a narcissistic personality disorder?
