I've learned that powerpoint is a professional software program to use when doing presentations. I find this software to be easy and also contemporary to illustrate anything I want to portray to my colleagues. It is quite advance beyond the use of an overhead projector with overhead sheets. With powerpoint is is easy to prepare and to present to my colleagues with the click at your fingertips.

Microsoft Office offers a program, PowerPoint, that has revolutionized the way that presentations can be made. PowerPoint is a presentation software that allows for the creation of text and/or graphics that are placed on individual pages or "slides". The "slide" can be compared to the old slide projector. The PowerPoint allows for a better presentation to colleagues that can provide intersting viewing while the presenation is being made. Slides can be printed for individual viewing, as well as, being displayed on a screen and the presenter can navigate through the slides by electronic commands. PowerPoint can include the use of graphics or pictures that can be used to communicate a message to the viewer. Music or sounds are an additional tool that can be incorporated in the PowerPoint to be more creative.

I would feel the most comfortable using Microsoft PowerPoint. Since many of the high school teachers in my district have a basic understanding on how to use PowerPoint, the focus of my presentation would be on how to use some of the more advanced features. I would include teaching them how to incorporate video, sound, and how to utilize the action buttons. This would enable the teachers to create more interesting presentations.

I would feel most comforable using Microsoft Powerpint to design a professional development presentation for my collegues. One such presentation might include information focusing on ways that elementary classroom teachers might use reaing and writing workshop strategies to enahance students performance in these areas.

Re:Using Microcomputers in Classroom Instruction

I would feel most comfortable using Microsoft Powerpoint to give a professional development presentation. An important issue that elementary teachers need to develop is classroom management. I would focus on some of the common problems with classroom management and give teachers strategies on how to encourage positive student behavior. I would use powerpoint because people can follow my presentation because I am able to time the inroduction of the slides. I would also keep them interested by using animated ways for my bulleted points to enter and exit each slide. It is a very user friendly software program.

Since learning so much about Microsoft PowerPoint in this course, I would feel more comfortable with presenting a Microsoft PowerPoint Presentation to my colleagues. I have always used Microsoft PowerPoint, however I was unaware of all of the exciting things it allows you to do. As an elementary school teacher, many of our staff developments are given as PowerPoint Presentations, therefore I am sure that my colleagues are familiar with the program. The focus of my presentation would be developing CRCT Skills for all elementary grade levels. With PowerPoint, the teacher could pose CRCT type questions and allow the students to respond as a class, or individually. He/She could also give the students test taking strategies on the different slides. I would briefly walk my colleagues through this process.

I would feel most comfortable using Microsoft Power point to present to my colleagues. This program is easy to use and easy to adapt to any situation. You can format the material to fit the circumstances in which you are speaking and to fit the material you are speaking about. It allows you to do so much more than what an overhead or a handout could do for you. You can illustrate your points better and transition smoother between points. It allows you to build a very professional looking presentation without a lot of work and confusing directions. It is a very user-friendly program. I would focus my presentationon the benefits of the Career Pathways program, as that is an issue on the table at my school. I would highlight the pathways and show examples of how the program has helped many students. Graphics could be built to show data supporting the program. It would be a great way to convey a lot of information in an easy to understand and follow format.

In response to this question, the software program I would use to create a Professional Development Program would be Microsoft PowerPoint. I chose PowerPoint because the presentation could be set up with graphics and other embellishments to make it more interesting. I also chose this program because it is much more aesthetic to the eyes and you can clearly define points and objectives because you can compartmentalize your presentation as you deem necessary.

The subject matter would be Diversity Management and my intended audience would be my colleagues at the Federal Prison. This presentation would be for all levels of agency staff because of the diverse inmate population as well as the diversity of the staffing compliment. With over 98 countries represented, people need to know how to deal with other cultures effectively. In addition to the Powerpoint Presentation, there would be role-plays presented and guided discussion.

Re: Using Microcomputers in Classroom Instruction

I would utilize the microsoft PowerPoint application to design a professional development presentation. PowerPoint enables the user to graphically organize their presentation into a compelling visual story for your audience. You can combine text, graphics, graphs, animations, and sound into a series of slides.

The focus of my presentation to my colleagues would be, Human Conflict Resolution in a Joint Military Operation. I manage a Joint Physical Therapy clinic. Joint in this instance is defined as Air Force and Army personnel working alongside civilian Veteran Administration and Department of Defense employees. Currently my workplace is a battlefield so briefing a powerpoint presentation to convey my message may graphically heal our wounds.
