Question on how to communicate with a parent

I teach at a k-8 parochial school and there is a parent who always needs to get in the last word, is generally rude (it might be a cultural misunderstanding on my part) and tries to correct me or just insults me in front of other people. The conversation is never about her child. It's usually about school policy or the school in general.

I might be taking her comments wrong. I don't know. Does anyone have any advice about dealing with someone like this? I don't even teach the her child yet!

If the argument is about school policy, then why are you arguing with her?

You're not teaching her child, so why not just say you have something to do and walk away? Why are you talking to her?
