Hi all-
I've been doing various kinds of public speaking for almost a decade now - including participating in high school competitive public speaking, (later) judging it, and teaching general presentation skills at Stanford University. As educators, you could definitely find yourself in all three situations: DOING public speaking, TEACHING public speaking, and JUDGING public speaking!
It can be pretty intimidating.
So I put together a resource on the subject, for anyone who might need it - check it out, if you're interested:
Dave's Guide to Speechwriting (http://www.davegustafson.com/speech)
I hope this helps - best of luck to everyone!
