Hi there. I am new to this site and am wondering if you can tell me the best English Language game you have used in class.I teach ESL to primary students now but was a HS English teacher in Canada many years ago. My favorite has to be Chinese Whispers. In this game groups of six or more stand in a line facing the chalkboard. The last person in line then faces the teacher at the back. The teacher then says a statement such as 'My mother makes muffins on Monday'. The students need to then pass this on to the next person in their respective line and when the message arrives at the front the student runs back to say the message to the teacher. It is amazing how much the message can change! I would love to hear your favorite classroom games as I am running out of games and the kids are gettng tired of the ones I recycle in class. :)
