I want to ask a question how can i teach the 3rd grade students the matter and molecules in an interesting way?
I thought about an idea and i want to have your opinion in it
first i will tell them what is the matter and that matter is composed of number of molecules
then i will let the kids act as if they were molecules and they will change their situation according to the type of matter(Solid-liquid-gas) and so on

I've done that before and it did not work very well. It was too abstract for young children to understand. Now I have the kids make a seperate poster for solids, liquids, and gasses. The kids bring in pictures of solids, liquids, and gasses, (homework assignment) then we sort them by poster and write the definitions on the posters.

That sounds good thank you but i think i will make it in metals and non metals because i found it puzzling for them so i decided to ask them to make a homework which will be a big chart and they will divide the chart into two parts part for metals and part for nonmetals and they have to write the properties of each one and stick real things (either Metal or Non metal) on this chart.
