I found this very interesting on line discussion at http://home.comcast.net/~jeffocal/shadows.htm that postulates the universe is composed of four spatial dimensions instead of four dimensional space-time.
Although it appears to be a valid attempt to restructure our understanding of the universe it relies more on basic conceptual logic and real life examples to support its postulates rather than on technical mathematical arguments. So much so that even students who have completed a first year physics course could understand many of theoretical concepts it presents.
