I am an educational technology student. My assignment is to survey mathematics teachers regarding what hardware and/or software they would get for upgrading their classrooms with a $10,000 budget. It's about incorporating technology into the classroom. It cannot include computers. The assumption is that there are 10 networked computers and a teacher's station already. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Please include grade level. Thanks.

10 networked computers? Your proffesor hasn't been in a real classroom for awhile. It's considered lucky to have 3 computers (that includes the one the teacher uses).

Here are three Integration Ideas for Using Technology in Math:
1. Have students conduct a survey (i.e. number of siblings, favorite candy, favorite sports team, etc.) and create a spreadsheet in Microsoft Excel to represent the survey results.
2. Have students use the Internet to collect data (weather, census, sports statistics, etc.) and create a spreadsheet in Microsoft Excel to represent the data or enter the data into the TI-Nspire calculator.
3. Have students develop functions in Microsoft Excel (i.e. calculate the total and percentage of siblings, favorite candy, favorite sports team, etc.) and graph the results in Microsoft Excel or in the TI-Nspire calculator using the appropriate graph (bar graph, line graph, histogram).
There may be more and use depends upon the application and purpose.
