Do Anyone Have Any Suggestions For An All Day Headstart Daily Schedule?

How much time are you with the children? What is the goal of your program?

Hi,
I ama HS teacher and our program is an exemplary program. Our daily schedule is as follows for 3 and 4 yr olds :
7:45 - 8:00 Children arrive at school and wash up/ prepare for breakfast.
8:00 - 8:30 Eat breakfast
8:30 - 9:00 Clear dishes wash tables ( children do this as a helper activity), use bathroom and brush teeth, engage in free play in stations usually manipulatives ( table toys) set out by teachers.
9:00 - 9:10 Circle Time
9:10 - 9:50 Outside play ( I am in Florida and it gets VERY hot so this is about the max the children can take before melting!)
9:50 - 10:00 get water,use bathroom, wash hands
10:00-10:10 Small Group /Planning Time ( class is divided into two groups at the beginning of the year and this is the teacher directed learning session- children also make their plan as to what area they want to work in )
10:10 - 10:50 Center Time -Children move to the center they have selected and engage in child directed play with teacher input if needed. Open ended questions are made and observations are noted for assessing growth and development tracking of each child.
10:50 - 11:00 Clean up time /recall time
Children clean up areas and break into two groups to recall what they did during center time.
11:00 -11:15 Storytime/songs/expanding literacy and language
11:15 -11:30 Prepare for lunch set tables, wash hands, use bathroom
11:30 - 12:00 Lunch
12:00-12:30 Clear dishes, wash tables, set out cots, use bathroom and brush teeth
12:30 - 1:45 Rest time/ teacher work time
1:45 - 2:00 Wake up/ replace cots, use bathroom, prepare for snack
2:00-2:15 Snack
2:15 - 2:25 Clean up and prepare to go home
2:30 Dismissal of children

This is the daily schedule we follow in my classroom and remember it is flexible!!!

I am a student in college and I am earning my degree and a certicate
in Early Childhood Education. I would like to prepare children
for kindergarden
