Hey there!
Im doing a paper on the COMPULSORY study of a secondary language in schools and its pros vs cons.
However there seems to have been very little research into this in Australia. Whilst the study of a LOTE is often offered as an elective in secondary schools, and generally is part of the curriculm for a term or semester in primary school, its not compulsory to study ONE language right through the compulsory years of education.
Does anyone know of any studies, anywhere in the world that they can reccomend? Or any personal oppinions?
