I am here to ask for your help-I am a finalist in a worldwide competition to carry the olympic torch in Beijing for the 2008 summer games. I have been a teacher for 23 years in NYS. I entered a contest to win a random drawing for a laptop and my essay was selected as a finalist. There are 8 countries represented in the final 18 contenders. There are 2 teachers. You can vote for 3 people after viewing short videos we had to submit. Deb Williamson is the other educator in the finals from the US. I am trying to get out the vote for the important work we do for our communities and the nation in general.
I would be honored to carry the torch for ALL teachers. The voting goes until 11/1/07 at 10 am EST. Please support DEB and LINDA.
