Why do most people consider Rodney King's comment so stupid?
He asked: "Why can't we all just get along?"
That is a reasonable question.
The picture of people getting along is a peaceful one.
What is wrong with Rodney King's question anyway?

maybe it has something to do with him being a hypocrit. I guess breaking the law is only ok when it's him doing it.
Here's a novel idea, if he doens't want to get beat down like a POS criminal, maybe he shouldn't break the law in the first place

Rodney King broke the law like many people who daily break the law. However, I disagree with the police's method of punishment. They did not have to beat the man almost to death. Secondly, his idea of getting along is a peaceful one. However, no one wants to get along. The spirit of the world is "ME, MYSELF AND I." Thank God I am so far beyond this mentality.

I don't break the law, I find it very easy to do. Maybe, just maybe, he shouldn't have tried to fight the cops after tehy pulled him over for doing 50+ mph over the speedlimit.
YOu can't fight the cops, then cry for world peace and expect to be taken seriously.
