Hi everyone,

My wife is a biology teacher and her birthday is coming up. I was wondering if there was anything I might be able to get her that might make the school-year a little easier (books, dvds, reference materials, anything). Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

You might want to look at the Great Courses from The Teaching Company. They have college lecture series on DVD and CD. (Hint: Everything goes on sale on a cycle and the sale prices are very low, but a particular set may not on sale at a particular time.)

I got this for a gift from some former students and I looooove it! Not in the line of reference materials...but more of a "fun" gift!

For reference materials this is a great book that I use all the time...it's for K-12...but you can modify the projects/activities for any grade!!

Our pets enrich our lives and offer us love and loyalty. A great way to remember a cherished animal in your life is to have a pet portrait made as a tribute and reminder. Pet portraits created by talented artists in quality oils on canvas or in watercolors or Acrylics are both decorative and lasting. Pet portraits also make very original gifts and can be made from a digital photograph as a surprise for someone you care about. Pet portraits (http://www.paintyourlife.com/)can also be commissioned in pastels, pencil, or charcoal in a wide variety of sizes.

She might like the book "Out the Door by Four". It is aimed at elementary teachers but it is filled with advice on how to get more quality work done more quickly.

Also, a comfortable chair is nice.
