I am researching articles and ideas on how to keep students interested
in independent study for communication technology long after the bell
has gone. Instead of home-schooling, I am working on a project that deals with student working at software, video, journalism etc that has nothing to do with marks.
I was thinking about school-wide contests for best website, student
film-festivals, digital art displays. For this, it might keep
students working at home, even though it isn't for mark, but instead
recognition from peers.
Finding articles/comments on independent study is what I am looking for
now, so any ideas or url would be great - the urls/articles can discuss pros, cons
anything that has to do with independent learning.
Thanks
