It has been about 5 1/2 months since I had my last "formal" interview, and it was for a Middle School Special Ed. maternity leave in my home district. I ended up getting the position, and I had a wonderful time while I was there.

"Politics" being what they are, I know with 100% certainty that a) the teacher I was filling in for will not be returning, and b) the position will likely be filled internally for the fall. (As a maternity leave I was not a union member) Knowing this, I'm not sitting on my hands, and sent out almost 30 resumes last week...

I have an interview tomorrow for a Middle School special ed. position. In this district, they have created four new positions (I can ask if they're board-approved, I hope?) but the particulars of said positions are not set in stone yet. Next week's interview is for HS special ed. (I was dual cert Special Ed/History)

Of course I'm now in the throes of "It's 24 hours before the interview and I've lost my cool!"

(I'm 23- if I am offered either position it will be my first probationary position)

Fellow teachnology.com message board users... help me!

*I should probably be a little clearer as to what I could use a little help with... as far as what to say? what to ask? (Usually, when the administrator asks me if I have any "Q's", I'll ask about technology and mentoring for first-year teachers) My portfolio is ready to go, as well as a few more copies of my resume.
