I'm a SEIT ( special eduction itinerary teacher) and I work with a 3 year old child that has a processing problem. He often spaces out during circle time, ignores questions, doesn't focus... Are there any spacific activities, games ... that I can work on with to help him with his processing problem?

Are you sure the child has functional hearing? If you're not sure, check for an audiologicl report; maybe the child is not hearing you. Also, keep in mind that the child is only 3 years old...maybe the child is not interested in the activities or does not understand them. Keep the activities fun/interesting and short. Do music with motions or simple instruments, like rhythm sticks, tone bells, a drum, or a tamborine. Look at picture books with big, simple pictures and work on the child naming the pictures. If the child is verbal, then maybe a simple picture story book. Find activities that the child is interested in to maintain attention and focus. Let me know how it goes. I'm interested. pp32525@yahoo.com
