Hello,
I am a graduate student at MSU. For one of my courses, I need to interview a few teachers regarding the role of the principal and teacher leaders within their school setting. I am interested in hearing a perspective from a veteran teacher, a mid-career teacher, as well as a newer teacher. If anyone would like to offer their words of wisdom, here are the questions that I am interested in hearing about.
1) As you see it, what IS the major purpose of the principal's work and role in your school? What SHOULD it be?
2) From your perspetive as a (veteran, mid-, or new) teacher, what roles do teacher leaders hold in your school? What work do they do?
3) In what ways does your principal promote and support teacher leaderhsip? How do you WISH s/he promoted and supported teacher leadership?
4) In what ways does your principal foster parallel leadership within your school?
5) How is change percieved within your school? How does your principal help to positively guide the change process within your school?
