Hello, Im working on these worksheets, and Im not sure if I answerd some of thes question write. Could you please help me out?



E.g. 1. She is beautiful. Main
E.g. 2. She is getting more beautiful every day. Auxiliary
3. He does his homework every night. Auxiliary
4. Does he work hard at school? Main
5. I don't like ice cream. Auxiliary
6. They have finished their assignment. Main
7. She has long, black hair. Main
8. Do you like opera? Main

10. I have been learning Italian. Auxiliary


Look through the following sentences and select the TENSE and the time reference used.

first options are: past simple, present perfect, present progressive, present simple

secon options are: past, present, future


2. I wish I had more time to finish this exercise. Past Simple - Past
3. When you have finished, you can go home. Past Perfect - Present
4. 'Major calls for peace summit' (headline). Present Perfect - Past

6. We've got the next lesson in the language library. Present Progressive - Future

PRESENT CONDITIONAL
(sometimes called the ZERO CONDITIONAL)
IF + PRESENT / PRESENT
E.g. If you mix yellow and blue, you get green.

1st CONDITIONAL
IF + PRESENT / FUTURE
E.g. If you drink this, you'll get better.

2nd CONDITIONAL
IF + PAST / WOULD('d) + INFINITIVE
E.g. If I saw him again, I'd shake his hand.

3rd CONDITIONAL
IF + PAST PERFECT / WOULD + HAVE + PAST PARTICIPLE
E.g. If I had run faster, I would have caught the bus.
