Hello all,
I am Lianne Stites and I am teaching Language arts in Korea. I just got a new group of five year olds and I need to get them to read complete sentences in three months like Mike likes to run to school and Sam is playing with his ball. They are now reading Tam sat, Tam cat sat, Tam sat sat sat. I have an Elementary degree that has me certified to teach 1-6th grades. I don't know how to get these little students to reading complicated sentences in three months. I want to start working on ending consonants and medial sounds and am having problems finding activities to help these little ones learn and have fun. If you know of any great resources that are on the internet please let me know.

Okay, here is some advice. If the students are reading those sentences, just make them longer. The cat is on the mat. The fat cat is brown.
Plus there are many web sites that I will be able to give you. Just hope you have the time to peruse them.
Reading AtoZ. May have to join but it has printable books at low levels and up for children to read.
