To get your K-12 SPED endorsement?

Did you pass on the first time? I just ordered the study guide book but any other tips on how to study for it so I can pass on the first time? It's expensive to take and want to ensure I pass on the first time!!

Thank you.

I am a special education lateral entry teacher. I was told originally I had until June 2008 to take my PRAXIS II tests. In May 2006 I was told I actually had to take the PRAXIS Ii tests by June 2006 to be re-hired!! So, with three weeks notice I signed up for the general Special Ed test and the Severe Profound Test. The general Special Ed test was a breeze. I was told to memorize all these court cases, etc and none of those questions were on the test. The severe/profound test was a little more difficult as it was essay rather than mulitple choice. Go for it!! You will pass easily!

correctly in order to get a passing score? I took the the 60 question multiple choice test yesterday for the PRAXIS II SPED (core content knowledge test). I heard the scores take a little over a month before I can know the results!

Anyone know how many you are suppose to answer correctly out of the 60?

Thanks!

I am a special ed lateral entry teacher and i have been told i have to take the praxis as soon as possible. I have registered for the march 14 test and am not concerned about the general knowlegde as much as the mild to mod exam. does anyone have any study advice???? I am certified Family and Consumer Science so I need assistance in this area.

I'm a lateral entry candidate, too and have to take tests 0353 (Ed of Except Students- Core Content, 0371--Special Ed- Teaching Students w/Behav. Dis./ ED) and 0011. What exactly is the "mild to mod exam?"

I'm really getting anxious, as this is all new to me (the testing part). But I took the practice tests and have done very well so far. My big fear is that I'll get to the test and it'll have questions totally unrelated to the test questions from the books!

When I hear the mild /moderate exam language, I have no idea what that means.. Can anyone please explain? Are these the same tests or different ones?

Thanks!
