Hi, my name is Larissa and I am a student at the University of Central FLorida. I am taking a class dubbed Psychobiological Aspects of Drugs on-line and our topic for discussion this week is about children who have difficulty behaving properly in the classroom and the underlying behavioral disorders that cause these problems. In addition, we are discussing the medical and ethical aspects of treating such children with prescription drugs. I am attempting to branch out from the ADD/ADHD problem, not because it doesn't deserve attention, but because I think that there are other equally consequential and relevant disorders that need to be addressed as well, such as childhood depression, bipolar disorder, and obsessive-compulsive disorders.

Any thoughts, experiences, or information that anyone could provide would be immensely helpful. Please email me at larissa.caudill@gmail.com and leave a last name that I can use to cite you as a reference when I post my assignment for class.

Thanks to all for you time and attention; I look forward to hearing from you :).
