From my handout on how to improve your grades. "Chew gum! It increases the blood flow to your brain. It also increases insulin production, and that help boost your memory. It also helps focus your attention. A British study found that test scores increases 35 percent when students chewed gum. Teachers will be much more tolerant of this if you don’t “smack” and dispose of it properly."

Gum does help you very much. It is a brain stimulator. I think that students should be able to chew it in school, as much as they possibly can. :)

If your gonna let them chew gum then sugar free is the best. But chewing gum is not great all the way around. Reasons: they can choke on it, get caught in their teeth which will cause plaqce build up , plus chewing it allthe time can cause TMJ problems further down the roade.

It was nice to chew a gum. it sounds you are exercising your mouth..
but i think its not a proper if you are having this when you are at school or when having a class.. its not really good too look at.. You will become disrespectful to your teacher..

Gum can cause the stomach to believe you are eating therefore it releases the chemicals to breakit down and it is said to make you fat.. plus for most people who cant multi-task, chewing gum can be a bit of a distraction. Come on, you consintrate all your energy to keep the gum in your mought, to chew it, to make sure it doesnt slide down your throat, thinking "what nice flavours these are" and making sure the teachers does not catch you, because in the school i go to, there is a fine of €6 if you are caught chewng gum.
The best way for a student to consintrate is knowing they will get something out of it. I for one am hoping to become a future Zoologist/concervationist. That i why i study and work in school, its because i will get something out of it. That is how the students should be able to consintrate. The should realise "hey wat if i cant actually sit still and not distorb the class, i will actually get somewhere in life" because if they dont, well whats the point in them coming to school. But after saying that. If a student studies the most they can and not get what they wanted, so what they tries and its up to the parents to give them the support/confidence they need to concentrate. NOT a stick of gum!!!
Maybe you are correct in some ways but if you actually listened in school t as you say, you would proably know that concentrate is not spelled "consitrate" also, mouth is not spelled "mought" and disturb is not spelled "distorb". Your second sentence (starting with Come on) is a run on. I believe gum does help me focus, and it is true sugr free gum can give you a stomach ache but it is not always the case.
