Anyone know anything about teaching these kids? It's impossible to get through to some of them. They can't remember two seconds after they are taught something.

Are you a regular education teacher? If you are, you need to get a copy of the child's IEP with the modifications. These children can learn, but not in the same way as other children. They may be weak in some ways and strong in other ways.
I have taught these children for 18 years. I have taught every level and category.
If you are a special education, you need to get out of it. I am not being mean, but you have to accept these children's limitations.
Good Luck

The unregistered person who posted the query on 8-20 was simply asking for advice. Who are you to tell him/her to get out of special education? Are you that all-knowing? Have you conveniently forgotten the days when you asked for advice? Perhaps this is a new teacher who has yet to gain the knowledge that you profess to have in teaching these children. I am a regular classroom educator, had a FASD child and sought help from many sources in dealing with him. I admire this individual who is asking for advice.
