I have been putting together some web sites for my 6th graders. I usually aim for sites that have activities, slideshows or movies. Enjoy! Any other suggestions are welcome.

This is a great site from the British Museum. Lot's of online activities.

Students can "enter" a pyramid and "look" around (need quicktime and DSL connection)

Valley of the Kings. It has movies, maps and pictures of each tomb...very interesting. You can spend a lot of time here, so you'll want to specify where you want your students to go.

Virtual tour, slideshows and movies

They cover all the topics with lots of pictures, games etc. from the BBC

A map linked to pictures of each area
