Each year I am saddened by the number of children who do not know where various countries/states/cities are located on the map. I teach fourth grade, and like many educators, struggle to get in all I need to for curriculum. I would like to incorporate a brief daily activity (no more than 10 min.) that would expose the children to locations of the aforementioned. Of course, I would like it to be fun, something that they will enjoy doing. I do not plan to test them on any of the material, but will monitor by perhaps doing a weekly review. Are there any suggestions out there? Does anyone know of good materials to use? I was thinking of a format similar to "Daily Oral Language" or similar.

Yep, there is something called Daily Geography. I'm not sure who publishes it, but it's set up just the same as Daily Oral Language. It deals with location of states, bodies of water, continents, you name it... I think you'll like it. Good luck!

Thanks MiMi----Evan-Moor has a grade level series that I believe I can use. It is comprised of 15 min. lessons, daily, but I think I can tweak them down to less time. Thanks again!!
