I have an interview for a Spanish position this week. Are interviews usually conducted in Spanish? What kind of questions do they ask?! Any help would be grately appriciated!

Generally a portion of the interview is conducted in Spanish for the purpose of evaluating your Spanish skills. The interview is conducted by the Spanish teachers and can range from conversation about yourself and your goals to discussion of your educational background. In a recent interview conducted by our selection committee, we each got one of the interview questions to ask in Spanish. Mine was about what strategies have worked with Middle School students and cultural activities. The other was about a typical day in a Spanish 4 classroom.

Just relax and have confidence in your abilities. It's nerve-wracking, but I lived to tell about it and to interview the next one. Good luck.
