I plan on reading "Hole in my Life" by Jack Gantos and "Touching Spirit Bear" by Ben Mikaelsen in my middle level alternative education classroom. I'm looking for activity ideas, vocab, etc. ...anything that could help.

Take a trip to a prison, jail, or detention center. Perhaps have a convict come speak to the group. (Well guarded, of course!)
