Are you a teacher? If so, you could have you kids get pictures of these things, and then put them in large Ven Diagrams that you can display. I use rings I purchased from Wal-Mart craft section. You could also go to a craft store. I also found some large circles in the wedding section of a craft store. They were large paper "dollies" that are used for wedding cakes. They make good circles for drawing Venn diagrams. Or you can use them as the Venn Diagram. Get what I mean?? hope this makes sense.

Hmmm... draw two big circles on a piece of paper. Make photocopies. Hand out to students.

Unless you have plenty of time to burn and you want to hunt through craft stores.

What goes in the middle (overlapped) circle. As far as I know there are no nouns that are both common and proper.

What goes in the middle (overlapped) circle. As far as I know there are no nouns that are both common and proper.

mom and dad
common: His mom and dad are very polite.
proper: "Hello Mom and Dad!" Jimmy called through the screened door.

mark
common: He made his mark on the world by inventing a cure for cancer.
proper: The boy's name is Mark Johnson.

john
common: After drinking twelve glasses of water, he needed to use the john.
proper: John hit the baseball with all his might.

target
common: She aimed for the target and pulled the trigger.
proper: When looking for the best deals, I shop at Target.

bond
common: The safest investment with your money is a savings bond.
proper: "Bond. James Bond."

Okay, so some of these are kind of lame, but they'll get the point across with your students. Let me know if it helps!
