Does anyone out there know of a good editor that I can use to type up worksheets, tests, etc.? I teach Geometry, Algebra II, and Trig, so I need something that will handle exponents, radicals, and other advanced math well. I also need it to have fairly good word-processing features, so that I can type up decent headers and directions, not to mention word problems. Inserting a Microsoft Equation object in MS Works is too awkward to use for an entire test, and the DirectMath that I downloaded doesn't have the word processing I want. I often end up hand-writing a test because it's just easier. I would be grateful for any suggestions.

I don't know if this has what you want, but you can try it free for 30 days.

I can't afford $129 for MathEdit, and we don't have enough computers to go with online testing. However, the MathEdit site has a list of tricks for MS Equation Editor, including how to run it in a separate window so that I don't have to call it up with the "Insert Object' menu every time. That should help greatly. Thanks.
