Greetings! My name is Mark Rosengarten, and I am a chemistry teacher at Washingtonville High School in New York, and host of New York Network's "Regents Review Live!-Chemistry". Over the last several years, I have written a series of chemistry-themed songs, and I have spent the last few months putting them together, performing, recording, editing, mixing and finishing a CD filled with 15 of them. They cover a large range of topics from the scientific method to what happens in a voltaic cell to how light is formed to the application of Le Chatelier's Principle. They are suitable for all introductory chemistry students, whether in high school or college. I have posted 20-40 second clips of each song on my website at www.markrosengarten.com (click on the "Rock Me Avogadro" button on the right top side). Anything that can make chemistry more enjoyable to learn can only help the cause of bringing interest in science to the students we teach, and a thing must be enjoyable for someone to go through the pain and challenge of eventually making a career out of it. Pass the word along!
Thanks! :)
