Hello,
I belong to a group that is involved in Ren. Faire, Celtic and ****************ens history re-enactment. We are currently applying for our non-profit corporation status and are looking for ways to become useful to local history teachers. We are thinking about putting together living history education programs that we could offer to local schools. We thought it would be best to offer about 12 different programs covering different periods in US and World History. What I wanted to know is ... What would be off the most benefit to you as teachers? How could we as a group of re-enactors help enhance your current education programs? Which time periods would be best to cover and which aspects of those periods are most important to you? I would appreciate any and all feed back you may be able to give us, we want to develop the best programs we can for our local schools.
Thank You

I am looking to take my students to a reanactment of a civil war battle this year. I think that learning history is much easier if you get to walk in it and feel it.

Nope, not taking the bait.

I think that learning history is much easier if you get to walk in it and feel it.

Feel it? Are you planning on using real bayonets?
