 I am in only in my second semester of primary education in Australia. In the subject of social studies which we call Studies of Society and Environment (SOSE), in a group we have to teach a class of student teachers a topic of our choice that is related to this subject. It needs to be highly interactive and stimulating.

We have already chosen to use Rugby Union as our theme. We are not going to teach the sport (that could be funny:p), but were hoping to convey what this sport means to Australia and other countries that also have this sport.

We were also thinking of bringing aspects of this game; like an activity on the national anthem and maybe comparing it to another country, and perhaps looking at what the emblems of the teams symbolise etc.

If you could help with any other ideas for activities and how we could do them and perhaps on how to immerse the class in that "stadium" context, it would be greatly appreciated.
