I'm looking for some new ideas for read-aloud books for my second graders. I have many books that I love to read but after 29 years I'm getting tired of them! My new students aren't but I am!! Any suggestions?

[/FONT][COLOR=Navy]Don't know what you've used & I am not a teacher, but I do remember that one of my favourite books as a child & avid reader was in the Amelia Bedelia series. I recently was at the bookstore and checked one out again...I think they're great!

I too am a second grade teacher. My class loves the Bill Peet stories. There are quite a few titles. We just finished Big Bad Bruce. They have voted and the next book is The WhingDingDill.
