Are there any teachers out there that would be interested in having your classes write to "Santa"? I'd be glad to have my keyboarding classes (college level students) play the part of Santa and respond to letters. Respond here if you're interested and we'll make the necessary arrangements.

Hey, what an idea.. I'd love to take part in the "Santa project". Where should we write to? We are in Germany. We could even start a penpalship if you want to.

How is the project set up?
When my 3rd grade students write about their secret wishes and emotional questions, how will your students answer? How much pedagogic knowledge of children do your students have? How will you respond without hurting a kid or without destroying his/her imagination?

Remember! Santa Claus is a kid's protector and trust person

I hope to hear more opinions from other teachers about this "Santa idea".....

I would like to hear more about this, as I'm also concern about how your students will reply when a student starts telling Santa they want this and that.

Will this cost anything?

I have K-1st graders and they trust Santa very much, and would hate to see a child being hurt which I know you wouldn't want that either.

thanks
BP

Yes, I agree! My pupils have read a lot and know much about Santa's toy factory and his home. Before you start this project, you better bring a great knowledge of Santa Claus.

I have a fourth grade writing lab. We are learning how to write friendly letters and would be interested in participating. Please send the information to
lrinehart@usd258.net.

I am also for fourth grade classes to participate in the Mail Race by answering our letters and questionnaires. We would be willing to return the favor. Please contact me at the above e-mail address if you are interested.

Anyone interested in this can reach me at all4udear@hotmail.com

All letters are free...I'll pay for the cost of postage to your school...you pay for the cost of postage to my school.

I'll supervise any outgoing letters. Most of my students are parents themselves so I'm sure they'll do fine, but I'll have a couple of generic letters they can use to fill in the blanks. NO letters will go out that I haven't approved of already, so there will be no great letdowns for any of the children.
